Jason Aaron e Ed Guinness sono il team creativo chiamato a guidare la nuovissima line-up degli avengers. Una fresh start che dovrebbe sostituire totalmente le numerose testate vendicative come Uncanny Avengers, Secret Avengers e New Avengers che evidentemente non sopravviveranno all’impatto con l’evento Avengers No Surrender.
Il duo avrà in mano un rooster esteso, che vede il ritorno del classico trio Capitan America, Iron Man e Thor ( con il martello ?? ) , affiancati da Pantera Nera, Capitan Marvel, Doctor Strange ( anche se il suo è stato definito “Rotating slot”) e i nomi a sorpresa di She Hulk e Ghost Rider ( nella versione Robbie Reyes ) .
Aaron riprenderà una narrazione simile a quella vista nella sua run in Thor: God of Thunder. Vedremo quindi la storia svolgersi al presente con il team appena descritto e contemporaneamente al passato, andando a ripescare il team degli Avengers preistorici introdotto nel primo Marvel Legacy one-shot. L’enorme celestiale oscuro introdotto nell’avvento della Marvel Legacy è l’indiziato per svolgere da collante fra le storie.
Riguardo alla serie Aaron ha dichiarato:
We wanted to get back to a small, core lineup. With big, iconic characters at the heart of that.
So we get Steve, Tony, and Thor Odinson back together at the heart of this new team, and the rest of the team we build around them over the course of the first arc. My aim with this series is basically, if you only read one Marvel comic — not that you should read just one Marvel comic, but if you did — if you picked this book up, this would show you the landscape of the Marvel universe issue after issue. We want to feature the biggest characters and go to the coolest, most exotic locations around the Marvel U.
Personalmente non vedo l’ora di vedere questo nuovo team all’opera sulle pagine di Avengers #1, negli USA a partire da Maggio 2018.
